AD: Def Leppard for GHS Strings

Phil Collen appears to be in violation of the two necklace minimum.

Damn—Vivian Campbell has been in Def Leppard for 20 years. While they’ve never scaled Hysteria-like heights during that period (both ’99’s Euphoria and ’02’s X peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200) the band has remained a popular attraction.

Shockingly both Campbell and Phil Collen are shirtless in the inset pics.

  1. I find it tragic that “Hysteria” is considered their best effort. That album, while accessible, was, in my opinion, one of the blackest turds ever produced. “Pyromania” was a more solid rock album all the way through, but I believe that “High ‘N’ Dry” was their finest moment.

Viv Campbell…I remember in one issue of Guitar Player for the Practicing Musician that was released in either spring of 1986 or 1987, they had an interview with him and Neal Schon. Schon was talking about his new series of Jackson Schon guitars, of which he had a design placed behind the bridge “to look like the air intakes on my Ferrari.” Vivian Campbell replied to this, “You own a Ferrari? You rich bastard!”

Well, Viv, hope you got your Ferrari…
