Following in the new tradition of inexplicable occurrences in the Vinnie Vincent camp, the guitarist has announced plans to re-record the second Vinnie Vincent Invasion album, 1988’s All Systems Go. Why bother? According to the Gibson website, Vincent (referring to his dissatisfaction with the performances of Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum) notes that the project will be completed:
… the way it should have been recorded with the Vincent production, inclusive of all guitars, bass and vocals which would bring back the ferocious, over-the-top sound of the first Vinnie Vincent Invasion album.
Those vocals will be provided by Robert Fleishman, singer on the VVI debut album.
Might this make the world a better place? We’ll just have to wait it out.
