Black Sabbath’s Born Again to be born again May 30

I know—it doesn’t rank with Paranoid or Heaven and Hell, but Black Sabbath’s Born Again nevertheless represents … an interesting period for the band. The Birmingham institution’s only album featuring Ian Gillan on vocals is much maligned and legendary for reportedly inspiring key moments in This is Spinal Tap; but it still contains some typically raging Sabbath. As they put it over at Away Team:

Born Again was still Sabbath through and through. Musically twisted and possessed with more than a whiff of brimstone, the album is a thrilling glimpse into an alternative world.

And now it’s getting the re-issue treatment. The Deluxe Expanded Edition is re-mastered and contains a bonus disc featuring session outtakes and previously unreleased live tracks.
