Guitarist and humanitarian Marty Friedman is set to auction off loads of gear used in his Megadeth days in an effort to raise funds for Japan tsunami relief. Friedman, who currently lives in Tokyo, was heading to the states to sort through the equipment. From his Facebook feed, via the Dunlp Blog:
I am going to LA right NOW to the climate controlled lockup where all the guitars have been in their cases since January 2000. I have NEVER sold ANY of my guitars before, this is the only way these guitars will leave my possession. I urge you to please spread the word and most of all BID HIGH.
The auctions begin tonight.
